My new motto...
Craft and Learn... and then get Smart!
I saw a super cute Christmas countdown on homemadebyjill and I thought- Wow, what a simple and fun project that I can do with the boys. (you see a pattern forming here?) So I looked and looked at this countdown and made some adjustments (sugar cookies instead of gingerbread men) and the boys and I baked about 60 of these sugar cookies (AGAIN) and then I numbered two sets of them from 1-25 with green frosting. And then came the awful (learning) part of the project! It was supposed to be a cookie chain that would hang next to the panty door- one for each boy. Well after making just one of these chains and wondering -WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I GET MYSELF INTO?- the 2nd kid didn't end up with a chain, I came up with a new idea, and thus the baggies were stuffed, stuck with bows and hung on the pantry door!
What else did I learn? Next year two cookies will go in each bag and NO CHAIN!
Was it worth it in the end... well this little face says it all :)

Gobble Gobble Cookies
I saw these cookies on bettycrocker.com and thought- Wow, what a simple and fun project that I can do with the boys. Well the cookie baking part went well, but the decorating part ended up being pretty much all me! Matthew decorated 2 and Timmy did no more than 5... ugh... that left me about 50 (or more) cookies to decorate!
**Note to self- Next year only bake a dozen of these cookies to decorate-

Okay, here we go...
I tried to start this whole blogging thing a few months ago, but it didn't seem to go anywhere... so here I am again. A friend of mine (http://fourbabbs.blogspot.com/) started one and encouraged me to join the blogging world again. So, here I am Jocelyn!! We'll see if I can keep up with it this time around :)
